Originally from Burgundy, Xavier Thuizat is a sommelier recognized for his expertise and talent. His remarkable career has led him to work in prestigious establishments such as Relais Bernard Loiseau, Le Meurice, Pierre Gagnaire, and the Peninsula Hotel. His meticulous selection of wines and ability to discover viticultural gems have made him a key figure in the field. He currently oversees the wine and spirits program at Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, contributing to the creation of one of France’s most extensive cellars with over 2,500 references. Crowned Best Sommelier of France in 2022, “Meilleur Ouvrier de France en sommellerie” in 2023, and winner of the 2024 Michelin Guide Sommelier Award, Xavier Thuizat is one of the most brilliant sommeliers of his generation.
